Nathan had his Met Stradavarius, club jersey, Shimano shoes, shorts, and gloves nicked from a locked room at college today. BAH! I have a need to remove goolies with a blunt, rusty, festering blade, shoot and then burn the body ;-) BAH! Have to say college are being reasonable in that it's being reported to plod, and if the stuff doesn't come back, college have confirmed they will foot the bill for replacement items. But it is *so* annoying that the stuff went in the first place. Cheers, helen s Wow! I can't believe they will foot the bill. Trust me, that would NOT be the case here. The reason they are is that the stuff was left in a locked room which only staff are supposed to have keys to. Plus, some time ago, Nathan was promised a proper full-sized locker which has never materialised, so the security issue is a college matter, rather than a Nathan matter, so to speak. All students and faculty/staff with access were interviewed extensively. Turned out it was one of the custodians (janitor). His normal bike has spd pedals and the shoes taken have spd cleats on them. His other bike hs Look pedals, and his road shoes have Look cleats on them. Inconvenient though, as his road bike doesn't have the luggage rack on it his tourer (normal college bike) does. So transporting books/files is going to be "interesting" for a while.
