I know many cats need major purrs now. But can any spare purrs
go to Rusty? He is not eating this morning which is unusal.
Normally he finishes his breakfast readily.
This morning he just took a few licks. I coaxed him to
eat a bit more and even warmed the food in the microwave.
It could be I added too much water to the food. There hasn't been
much to scoop in the litter box lately and so I decided to give him
more water with the food. The latest news of Jazz's blockage
got me worry about Rusty who has a history of blockages.

Any spare  purrs are appreciated.

There are always spare purrs here - all it takes is a little extra
scritchins!  I hope Rusty is just suffering a mild tummy upset and that it's
nothing to worry about.

Lots of purrs coming for Rusty -- it's good you're keeping a close eye on
him.  Could he possibly have a bad tooth?

Certainly. Purrs always available for anyone on need. We're crossing all
extremities in the hopes it's not a blockage, just one of those things.
My cats haven't been eating much these last few days. I think it's
because it's been so hot (yes, even the cats think 25 C (77 F) is hot)
outside. They prefer eating during the night, when it's a little cooler.

The forecasted heat wave is not here yet. My home is still cool
with all blinds drawn to keep out any hot air. But it is 18C outside,
not hot by any means. I will turn on the AC when it gets hot.
Rusty did stop eating once before when it was very hot.
I don't think it is a tooth problem because his food has the consistency of
soup that no chewing is necessary.
I brush his teeth too. Maybe I should up his teeth brushing
to every day instead of every 3 days.

Thanks for the purrs.

That would worry me too. Purrs for Rusty to be completely healthy, but
please get him to the vet if he doesn't improve. With his history you can't
be too careful.

I had a hunch Rusty doesn't like his 'soup' so thin meaning I added
too much water to his food. Sure enough he ate his food
straight from the can when I offered it to him. I will give him some
extra water in an eye dropper. He normally get his water from
what I add to his food and hardly drinks.
What a relief. I was also concerned as I think his regular vet is on
vacation. I do have another vet who saw him once last Christmas.  But I
rather Rusty sees the vet who has taken care of him for the last 10 years
and is very familiar with his history.
Another thing I am keenly
aware of is  his current prescription food I/D is not for urinary
problems. He developed diarrhea from the last prescription food
for urinary crystals. Nothing helped till he switched to I/D and so
the vet said to stay on it.

Thanks for all the purrs. Really appreciate it.

Pan worried me a day or two ago by not wanting his breakfast. Fortunately,
he was himself again and hungry for his supper later on.  There are purrs
enough for every cat that needs them!  I hope Rusty will soon be feeling
better and is not on the verge of serious illness.
