Hi all:

Hopefully by the time you all sign on in the AM Otis will be back.  It's
almost midnight, its dark and windy and not the safest out there.  He's
usually always in at dinnertime for the night but about twice a year he
pulls an all nighter.  I hate it when he does this.  He spends most of the
day in the cat tree under the veranda in the back yard.  He's quite the
homebody these days.

He should be good and hungry by now too.  I get them in by giving them an
extra yummy wet food dinner every night at the same time - he's missed his
dinner tonight.

Purrs for Otis to get himself home. Bootsie has done this a few times.
It worries me sick. DH has a real powerful spotlight-type flashlight. I
take it out and I can usually find her -- her eyeballs glow! Except one
time I saw eyeballs glowing in a lower branch of a tree, went to get
her, and it was a possum.
The "extra yummy supper" trick is the one I use also. I found if she
gets anything to eat late in the afternoon, she is harder to get in at
dusk. Esp. in the summer.

A house is not a home, without a cat.
