Well, it doesn't rain but it pours, doesn't it?
Now it's my turn to ask for purrs and prayers for my sweet boy Jazz. He's
blocked again and is at the hospital tonight and over the weekend.
He seemed listless today and when he went to the litter box he didn't
'fling', so I knew right away that something was wrong. I put him in there
myself and he strained and strained and couldn't pee.
I rushed him to the Vet, thank goodness it was still daylight because I
can't drive in the dark due to my cataracts.
He is blocked, he threw up when they had to tranquilize him to put the
catheter in. The doctor said he will be there all weekend, and they will
remove the catheter on Monday and see how he does without it. I'm glad he's
being taken care of, but I hope he doesn't think I've abandoned him. The
last time this happened they told me he didn't sleep for the 4 days/nights
he was there. :(
Please pray that he recovers soon and they find out why he keeps getting
blockage. This is the third time he's been hospitalized for the same
problem.

Oh no :(  I will definitely add Jazz to my prayer list with Harri and
Jessie.  Please let us know how he is. Can you at least visit? Or call and
get updates? Blocking is so scary.

I'm sorry, I hope he'll be okay and I'll pray for him.  Can you go
visit him tomorrow and Saturday?

Yikes! That's definitely not something to mess around with.   Jazz has
been duly added to the Purr Roster, Irulan.  I hope he'll be okay soon.
You're a good cat meowmie to get him the prompt attention he needed.
(Even if Jazz himself doesn't see it that way, right now! =o)

Purrs going out from Rusty to poor Jazz.

Rusty know all about blockages and was also hospitalized one weekend with a
catheter stuck in him. So we really understand how scary and worrisome a
blockage is.
How old is Jazz? Is he eating canned food. Rusty does well on
prescription canned food. He was blocked a second time while
on prescriptin dry food. Since then he always get canned food only.
The vet told me older cats are less likelyto get blocked.

Let us know how Jazz is doing.
I will be anxiously watching for updates for Harri, Jazz, and Jessie.

Poor Jazzy-boy. We will purr our hardest for him. Meatloaf meditations
and soothing vibes on the way, too.

Lots of purrs for poor Jazz to feel better soonest, for the docs to figure
out why he is blocking, and for your nerves.

Purrs for Jazz-boy to get better quickly and not to think you've abandoned
him.

You got 'em. All our best to the little guy.

FWIW I'd add my 0.02 that dry food is a frequent culprit in causing
blockages & should be avoided if at all possible. As Jazz would probably
say, a fresh mousie is favourite (or as near as possible).

Continued purrs too for Harri & Jessie & all others in need. And for the
het-up hoomins to return to their usual lovely selves after a time-out
for reflection: life's too short (much too short on many occasions) for
it to be wasted in discordance.

Best to all

Lots of purrs for Jazz. With luck you got him to the vet in plenty of
time, I'm sure he'll be OK.

Having been through this, I truly understand your fear and worries.
