I was completely overwhelmed when I checked Harri out of the vet this
afternoon. I was expecting to have to pay at least a couple hundred
dollars more, so I was stunned when the receptionist told me that my
remaining bill was $10!
The office folks were completely amazed that so many people from all
over the world called in to make contributions towards Harri's bill and
asking about her health. They were all very impressed that such a caring
group exists on the Internet.
All of you, those who contributed money and those who have been sending
positive thoughts and prayers and purrs, THANK YOU! Things are looking
better for Harri, and I'm hoping to bring a much healthier kitten home
in the next day or two. And I've had time now to arrange to borrow some
money from my mom and my brother to help me pay off the rest of Harri's
specialist bill. It now looks like there is a reasonably good chance
that Harri will survive and be able to come home.

I wasn't able to contribute, but I'm sooooo glad there are so many
wonderful people here willing to help each other out.
Reminds me of that cat I saved over a year ago and how people here
helped out then. It fascinates me on how people are willing to help
out people and cats they've never met.
Purrs and hugs to everyone, just out of admiration

I had sent a $25. check today before I heard you were going to the
specialist. So you will probably have a credit at the first Vet clinic.
Handle it in whatever way you choose. MLB

Thank you for the update, Dan. I have been so worried about your little
darling. I wasn't able to contribute towards your vet bill (am on a
disability pension), but I am glad that the people in the group were so
generous. At least you wont have to worry about that now.
Please keep us updated about little Harri. Purrs and meatloaf meditations
continue to come your way for Harri to feel better soon.
Hugs,
Flippy in Melbourne, Australia.

I received similiar reactions when the good folks here called in when
Rocky was at the vet's fighting for his life. After he passed I went
to check on the bill and found it was paid in full, as was Sammy's
which I had been making payments on for a couple months already. It
definately made an impression with the staff there - Dr Haney still
mentions it on occassion.

Still sending purrs for Harri to be fully recovered soon, with no
lasting after effects from the ordeal. In fact, now that Spot has
discovered her purr, she's sending some as well

My TEDs also remark about how special this group has been. They laugh
because I tell them what PC's latest net antic is and give them the addy of
the mouser's Blog. They think this group is nuts, but totally awesome. BTW
the receptionists still talk about getting phone calls from England and
Australia for Penny and Berfert.

Dan, I'm so relieved that things are looking up for Harri. I loved the
stories you posted about your travels with her, and I don't know how
many people I told about the truck driver that takes his cat with him!
I'm glad things worked out financially too. I wasn't able to help out
that way but many purrs were sent to you and Nancy and Harri.

Regarding the stories of your travels with Harri, why not write a little
book about them? You have excellent writing skills. Purrs for her
continued improvement. MLB

Thank you! I believe I'd do that. Actually, I started this morning
working on a booklet with Harri's story and photos. After Harri comes
home I want to send one of these booklets to each of Harri's vets.

You might also want to give the URLs of those websites where her stories are
posted.

We're definitely still purring for a complete recovery! I got a couple
of Paypal donations after I had called in your regular vet. I'll be sure
to call the specialist this morning to donate those as well. :)

I skipped over dozens of postings, looking for the one from you about
Harri. GIGANTIC sigh of relief, and continued purrs for her recovery.

Purrs continuing for sweet little Harri to fully recover. I can't afford
much but what the hell, John paid me for helping with the show. So I called
the specialists' office and made a donation towards that bill.
I stumbled out of bed around 4:00 AM your time to make sure there wasn't any
devastating news. Bellsouth decided to start having problems with their
Usenet link-up so I am just now reading the later updated reports. It
sounds very promising, Dan. Again, continued purrs (and always implied
birdie chirps from Peaches).

read about her travelling with Dan.
Continued purrs and best wishes for her to recover completely and really
soon,
