Mischief - 22 Jun 2005 04:27 GMT
It's May, which is short for Mayhem

She likes to cause it.  She keeps trying to make friends with Mischief,
which only result in Mischief hissing at her.  Imp wants to make
friends at her, and she just hisses at HIM.

She declares to all that she is hungry by meowing.....at 5 AM.

She and Imp will probably become good friends.  She and
Mischief....well.....how well does Mischief get along with Mayhem???

Sigh........I'm so screwed......

By the way, we are STILL trying to find her a home

So just because we're giving her a name does NOT mean we are definitely
keeping her.

Kristi, I know it's very problematic for you to keep May, but those are
just so typical famous last words. Congrats to May(hem) for her name.

A house is not a home, without a cat.

Mischief - 23 Jun 2005 04:12 GMT
Oh no, if I really do keep her, this will be it for me.

I so screwed myself years ago when I got my first cat and named him
Imp.  A few months later I said, "If I ever get another cat, I'm going
to name it Mischief"  A few months later, she showed up around my
apartment pool.  I took her in, got her checked out and eventually kept
her.

Then a year or so ago I said if I ever got another cat, I would name it
Mayhem

Yeah, and now look...........

Hi Kristi,
>From the sound of it May(hem) has already found her "Forever" home!!
First a name, then her own toys, her own bowls, her own bed,
...................   See where this is going?

Skritches,
KittyLady and Harvey who thinks May is beautiful.

Sounds like Mayhem has found her forever home already Kristi.  First a
night in tub, then food, then a name, soon comes her own bed, her own
toys, her own bowls, etc. ......... see where this is going.  Congrats
on your new owner:)~

Nooo, sure it doesn't mean that. Man, if I had a nickel for each tim
-I- said that...
We all believe you here. Bisou, who was -not- going to be kept 8 year
ago, believes you. Toby and Frolic, who were -not- going to be kept
years ago, believe you. Jolie, who was -not- going to be kept 9 year
ago, believes you. Sabine, who was -not- going to be kept 4 years ago
believes you. And even little Reverse, born a little over 6 weeks ag
and who is not going to be kept -(yeh, right...)-, also believes you.
Very believing purrs, Fritti and his gang, of which more than half wa
-not- going to be kept..

Heh....just what I thought when Hazard was still called "No-Name".
He's still here, still doesn't get along with the other cats...sigh...

So...Kristi...wanna borrow Hazard for a bit so you can have Mischief,
Imp, Mayhem, and Hazard....a full round of chaos? ;)

Best of luck with her, though, and kudos for taking her in even
in the face of the potential problems...:)

No, of course it doesn't.  I was very firm that just because I had nicknamed
a stray cat Boyfriend, I was perfectly able to send him to a cat shelter
once I could catch him in a trap.
He was a crafty boy and could get into the trap, eat the food, and get out
again without setting off the door mechanism.
The rest is history.
He crept into my heart because he is such a darling boy.  So gentle, so
kind, so clever.  Somehow different, like he would wake me for work just
before the alarm went off and since I've been ill he's never disturbed my
sleep.
This little girl seems to have crept into your heart too. You realise you
are done for, of course?
Purrs you can hide the two cats when you need to.  Maybe a friend might care
for them for the day?

Great name. I like Mischief too.

We have lots of names for Cat. Strange names like Mognustica, Nustima etc.
Not sure where they all came from!

I guess if Mischief were female, the name could be Miss Chief.

I believe a British TV personality (Frank Skinner) used to have a Cat called
the Chairman. It was short for Chairman Meow!

Oh, be glad she just meows... My Cleo likes to make it known that th
waterbowls are empty by goose-stepping back and forth over the bed
with me -in- it, at 3 or so AM

Mischief getting along with Mayhem? That sounds like a perfec
partnership if you ask me :)! If I would go with that, I would have,
think, about five Mischiefs and seven Mayhems... Don't worry too muc
anyway, I'm sure they'll all get along eventually. I know mine did.
