She will eat anything except my dried cherries. One evening I was
eating peanut butter on graham crackers. Sheba was in her usual spot
on the footstool at my feet, begging. So I put a smear of peanut
butter on my finger and held it down for her. She bit my finger! I
yelled. Then I got a good daub on a knife and she went after it like
she was starving. Every since then, when i eat peanut butter, she has
to have some. I know it has a bit of sugar in it; but that is offset
by all the protein and fiber, which she needs. I don't think it will
mess up her diabetes as much as the frustration of not getting
something. Any people food I give her I am careful about carbs. But I
wonder why she is so crazy for peanut butter. The other cats aren't
interested.

Oliver likes peanut butter. He'll only take a very little off of the
end of my finger but I noticed every time I gave the dog his medicine
(pills in PB) Oliver would jump up and look hopeful so I tried a dab.
He very delicately licks it off my finger and then walks away. He will
rarely eat a second dab but usually one is enough. I wish I had his
willpower!!

Hmm. Maybe he is only tasting it for the idea of being a treat. And I
know what you mean about willpower. I can really scarf it down!
Protein and fiber is good for me; but oboy the fat!
