Finally got to showing of this flick; great action scenes, right from
start...animation, costuming, story-line great....acting less than fine...I
was not impressed w/new
Anakin/DarthVader...but surprise - ObiWan in this one is
a "hottie"! Not a bead of sweat on Padme's face during hard labor/delivery -
LOL - not to mention deathbed scene. We were fascinated by that robodude
Grievous, who breathed like he'd just landed in MileHigh, sucking in the
thin air here, but were informed he has defective lungs (hoomin) causing his
wheezing.(?? Oh well). I have
had trouble all along following all the story which requires *going
backwards* in your memory to first movie, which all I can remember is heroes
being down in a garbage dump site and Luke victorious in an arial fight
scene. We still think Lucas inserted lines politically meant LATER, even if
he insists he wrote the screenplay years ago.....

Hi Hopitus,
I saw this yesterday and I think it was my favorite one yet. I like
the way he presented the entire story, The end first and then the
start.

Oh come on. Just because a character said "If you're not with me,
you're my enemy." ??? You really think that was a political statement???
:-) :-) :-) :-) :-) :-)
Actually, my husband has been using the next line against me since I am
one of those people who tends to see things in terms of black and white.
"Only the sith deal in absolutes!"
I also thought when Senator Amidala says "So this is how liberty dies —
to thunderous applause." had to have been commenatry on the patriot act.

I thought it was the best one yet. And no Jar Jar Binks, except a
couple of short apprearances with no lines. Whew!
I don't know if the political commentary lines were meant as that, but
agree that they certainly could have been added in after the whole
screenplay was written. It's not as though they were integral to the
story.
