Hi there:
Many thanks to Yowie, Jo, Tweed, Victor et al for their encouragement of
this crazy addiction. I've read the tips and the high scores.
This is the weird thing - I'm actually able to control how much I play now,
though I played lots at the beginning. My husband, OTOH, who *never* plays
computer games and shows no signs of an addictive personality, has been
consumed by it. At first I thought it was kind of cute and neat to see him
out of his usual routine. Now, it seems like a problem. He's late for
things and comes to bed in the wee hours of the morning. He's getting very
competitive. My lowest score is 47,000 something and his is 101,000
something - he likes the big scores.
The worst thing is that it isn't something that you can just delete from
your hard drive. It is permanently available, 24 hours a day, via Internet.
Any tips on recovery??

Hahaha! That totally sounds like me and Dennis. He never plays
computer games and he got soooooo addicted! There is no way out of
it. The only thing that stopped us from playing bubbles was to move
onto another game. We are now hooked on Bejeweled (yahoo games).
These types of games are just evil :-(

I can only say it takes time, and a hospital stay might help in this. It
might seem unbelievable to you who are still playing, but I have not played
bubbels for weeks.
I tried a game just the other day to see if the addiction was gone, it is.
I could not be bothered to finish the first game, after a couple of minutes
I was bored.
So. I Now State I am Completely Recovered from The Bubbels and have been
for some weeks.
