We had quite a violent thunderstorm this evening, with flooding locally.
Baggy decided to go out in it, I called him in, he stayed 2 minutes and
then went out again. Now the storm is over he's come in soaking wet,
rubbing round my legs and purring.

Silly cat! It is just like King Charles I or II (can't remember which) said
"The English summer consists of two fine days and a thunderstorm.."
There have been two extremely hot days here, unpleasantly so. Weather
forecast people have said to expect torrential rain tonight or tomorrow.
Nothing much changes then, eh?

It was hot all day here, but being on the coast we had a pleasant sea
breeze.

I'm glad you escaped the flooding Adrian and thanks for the link (not
much detail in the news programmes on tv).
I'm hoping my family (cousins) who live around Thirsk are all ok.

Purrs to everyone in both countries where the flooding is going on. Just
awful :(

Nikki used to love going out in the rain, too. Especially in the night.
She would go out, come in a little later soaking wet, get in bed and dry
herself off on the sheets, purring all the time. Then she would rush
back out. Repeat as long as it rained.
