I always read these posts about cats all over the computer stuff with
incredulity. Neither of mine show any interest at all in the computer and
all it's wotsits. They could easily perch on the monitor but they never do.
No dangling the tail to obscure the view. They could try and get all over
the keyboard when I am trying to type, but they don't do that either. Never
ever.
My kitties are polite kitties.

You obviously need a kitten, you're missing out on so much. ;-)

A house is not a home, without a cat.

Frank has no interest in the computer, neither did Nikki. But Miranda
loves it. She loves to lie on the monitor when it's cold outside. She
walks on the keyboard. She loves to lie on *me* while I am at the
computer. She watches and swats at the cursor and especially at those
fascinating bubbels (of course, this is the only reason I play the game
any more...).

Persia is completely polite, too. She has never ever shown any inclination
to get up on the computer desk, nor to walk over the keyboard or shown the
slightest interest in the monitor. Not even when it has pictures of other
kitties on it! The only counters she gets up on are in the bathroom and
that's only to sit and scold me for getting myself all wet in that tub thing
:)

Two, and occasionally Mr. Clark, liked to perch on the monitor. My
acquisition of a flat-screen monitor, however, led to several LEAP to
the perch...
...perch....?
...PERCH....!
*CRASH*.
Luckily, I caught the monitor in one hand and the cat in the other.

Awww--cute visual! I have a lap top on it and my George is fanatic about
being petted--any time he sees my hands he starts the shake, lol. So, when
he sees my hands moving over the keyboard--that is all his resolve. Half the
time I stop and pet him and the other half I put him down--about 50 times.
Eventually he will sit on the arm of the chair and scooch his tush back
against my elbow. It's pretty funny--if I move my arm--the tush follows.
My pitties are still adjusting to me--the other two don't play--or are
comfortable with me. I look forward to the day when they rule the roost.
Have Fun,
Jen
