Folks, please could my friend Paddy have some major purrs?

Paddy is a wonderful friend, who is my University lecturer from when I
was doing my bachelors degree 15 years ago. He has been a mentor, a dear
friend, and has supported me through thick and thin as only close
friends can do.

Last night, he had a major stroke and is now in hospital. He's 61. As
someone who is highly inteligent, vibrant, and a real character, it has
been a great blow to him. The doctors expect him to make a good
recovery, but he will no longer be able to drive, teach, and do all the
things he has been doing. He adores his elderly cat, Belinda, and is
missing her dreadfully whilst he is hospital.

Please could he and his family have some prayers and purrs that he is on
the mend soon?

Thanks
Helen M

Indeed! I remember Paddy - you gave me information on him some time ago & I
spoke with him on a particualr issue. he's a kind, lovely man. I sincerely
hope he makes a full recovery and soon. Any chance that the hospital will
allow a short visit by Belinda, on the grounds that a pateient in good
spirits is one who is more likely to make a good recovery??

*Please* pass along my very best wishes to Paddy & his family.

Purrs for Paddy, it's so sad when things like this happen to someone who
should have many years of active life ahead of them.

Lots of purrs on the way for your friend, and his distressed owner. Why
can't he teach after he recovers? Even if it isn't University teaching,
there's always willing students....

RrrummmRrrrrrruuuuuuuumRRrrrrrrrrrRRRRRRRRrrrrRRRRrrrRRRRRRRRRRRRR......

Puuuuurrrrrrrrrrr, PURRRRR!!!!!

I am very sorry for Paddy's misfortune--loss of independence IS perhaps a
greater hardship than the actual illness. I hope he's soon on the mend and
will make a more complete recovery than his current prognosis appears to
suggest.   I hope he and Belinda will soon be reunited, too. I'm sure she's
worried about her hoomin Paw.
