As most of you know, Dennis and I are trying to move to Australia
permanently. We have applied for a resident visa and have been
waiting for what seems like a loooong time (since end of Feb) during
which they have been conducting "internal checks".
In April I emailed our migration agent in Perth and he said it was
normal and we shouldn't bug them yet, but to get back to him in June.
I've purposely waited until after my birthday and after our trip to
email him because I didn't want any bad news ruining things for us.
Dennis and I have invested all our hopes and dreams in this plan, not
to mention a big chunk of change. I plan to email tomorrow to see
what's going on. I know how much purrs from this group have helped
others, so purrs for some good news would be very extremely gratefully
appreciated.

Thanks. We want to move to Margaret River, it's about 300 km south of
Perth, WA. It's the most beautiful spot in the world, we love it so
much :-)

Lots of purrs coming from your 'old country'.
I remember it took a long time when I applied for immigration to
Catnada. But that was some 30 years ago, and I didn't have any agent
working on my behalf.

Purrs on the way that you'll receive good news soon.
One of my coworkers is in a similar position - waiting to hear about
his visa to move to Autralia. He was told it would take approximately
4 months, and it's going on five now.
