This might be gross and TMI for some, so you are warned <grin>.

I am scheduled for a colonoscopy on Wednesday.  I am a nervous wreck.
I hate anything medical, and this looks to be a particularly
nerve-wracking ordeal.  Things can go wrong, and that always scares
me, too.  So if anyone is inclined to send some purrs that I make it
through this ordeal, and that no problems are found, I would truly
appreciate it!

who also just had her very first mammogram last week; results are
pending.

Purrs for Wednesday, I hope it's not too much of an ordeal.

Purrs for your nerves.  My mother has had this procedure and so has my LLL.
It's not pleasant but they were more embarrassed than anything else.  You'll
be drugged so you will need to make sure someone drives you to/fro.

Many purrs Ginger-lyn. Been there.  The preparation is far worse, in
terms of duration and discomfort, than the actual procedure.  Indulge
yourself in all ways non-gastronomic.

Lots of calming purrs for the procedure and purrs that all results come
back good.

Lots of purrs for you, I had this done a year ago. Mostley it is very
embarrassing, drinking the stuff they give you is the worst. They gave
me so much medication that after it took affect I really did not care
what they did to me.

Ginger-lyn, don't worry. The procedure may be gross, but you will be put out
anyway so you won't be uncomfortable during it. Colonoscopies are important
for everyone, so everybody should have one.
We will purr and pray that yours goes well and results in nothing but good
news for you.

Purrs forthcoming for a clean colon, and a procedure that's not too
uncomfortable or prolonged on Wednesday. I totally sympathize--I hate scary
medical procedures, too.  But if there IS a problem, and I hope there's not,
early detection is the best defense we have in fixing it. Good for you for
gritting your teeth and doing a necessary, if unpleasant thing.

Back end purrs on the way.  It will be over and out of your way soon.

Purrs on the way from one (former) Buckeye to another.  I had a
colonoscopy in April, and believe me the worse part was the
preparation for it.

The preparation is definitely the worst part.  I've had the recommended
every-5-yrs procedure and believink me darlink the actual process, given
the drugs, are sooo much better thna the bad old days.  As warned, you
have to have someone drive you .  May there only be good news for you

I will certainly send you some purrs.  Medical procedures are just awful,
and I had far too many myself just lately, so I know that fear.
Will you be under anaesthetic for it?

Purrs Ginger-lyn. I know I dread when I will have to have my first
colonoscopy. Uck. Good luck! I'm sure it will be fine (no walk in the park,
but fine.)

I had one done last week.  The bowel prep was the worst part and it wasn't
all that bad.  The last glass of Nulytely was the hardest to get down.
The actual procedure didn't take long and it didn't hurt a bit.
Yoj - 14 Jun 2005 00:42 GMT
Purrs and hugs, Ginger.  I had a colonoscopy and an upper endoscopy last
Thursday.  They put me out for the procedure, so the worst part of it was
the preparation, which isn't pleasant.  I had it because these procedures
last September had showed both Barrett's esophagus and ployps in the colon,
both of which are potentially precancerous conditions.  My tests last
Thursday showed no signs of either.  I hope your results are as good.

Purrs for a not-too-terribly-unpleasant procedure

Hugs and purrs in abundance on the way to you.  Hope everything proves
negative.

It's only natural to be anxious about such a procedure.  Lots of purrs
for your nerves and for the procedure to go smoothly.

Certainly, purrs on the way for your nerves, and good results from

Just read this; hope the colonoscopy wasn't too icky, and the results
from both are good.
