Boy, talk about a short hospital stay! I got to the hospital for my
hernia operation at 5:45 AM and was released to go home about 1:00 PM.
I'm home now and not urting nearly as much as I expected to.
I can't do anything for a week, so I'll spend that time further
polishing my programming and system admin skills.

Because I suspect you are up to the gills with painkillers.

Get back to me on how you feel tomorrow, and stop being so ambitious ;-)

Best wishes for a speedy recovery. Must have missed the post about your
operation. My server had a problem with the newsgroups and had to replace
equipment. We are purring that things are good for you from here on.

Wow! That was fast! Were they able to do it laparoscopically? I had my
gall bladder out that way, and it sure beats the old style surgery.
I'm glad you're doing so well.

hey, glad to hear you're doing well. My DH was in bed for about 2 days after
a hernia operation which was also in and out of the hospital.
Hope the furbabies are really good nurses.

Purrs for your quick healing and don't try to rush things. You might feel
just fine now (Tweed pointed out painkillers) but you'll give yourself
another hernia if you try to do too much too fast. Of course, sitting in a
chair with a kitty on your lap can soooo reduce your stress :)

I have big plans for the next week, and they all center around sitting
in my favorite spot on the sofa with a laptop and at least a couple
kitties beside me! I just got out of bed, so all the meds have worn off,
and I'm still not nearly as uncomfortable as I expected to be so I guess
I just made out really well.
Now I'm off to the PHP pages I want to get working today. I figure the
best way to really learn a language is to use it so I'm working on an
app to organize all my Harri Roadcat photos.

Rusty sends his purrs.
When I had jaw surgery, I hardly took any prescribed pain pills.
At first I thought maybe the surgeon cut the nerve endings as it sometimes
happens. I kept touching my chin to make sure.
I found the pain from shingles are a lot worse.

Ditto. Shingles was amazingly painful. This hernia surgery is actually
just annoying.

Don't know if they deadened your stomach for this surgery or not...My
Mother's Hubby had the surgery 2 weeks ago and they did deaden it...but
didn't bother to inform him of this..(your stomach won't process food for 24
hrs).He ate ice cream and soup later in the evening after arriving home and
became deathly ill... coming and going ...tore his metal staples.....so be
careful Please!!!!! :-) Liz

Glad to hear you're doing OK. Now take it easy and don't mess with the
