Just because Stinky got his mousie doesn't mean the greeblings sound
here can relax. ;)

I always have some kind of cardboard box for Stinky-- it's really his
favorite toy, and if I put some tissue paper in it, he's really set.
After some vigorous play a couple of days ago, he flipped the box on
its side, and I just left it that way, standing on its side.  Kind of
like a cave.  Well, Stinky kept doing this thing where he would march
his front end into the cave, and yowl into it.  It was cracking my mom
up, and it was pretty funny.  But I realized that the cave
configuration provided a much easier access point for greeblings, so
Stinky was being exceptionally vigilant and conscientious.  I feel so
lucky!

Years ago, when Presto (RB) was a kitten, we used to buy the
double-sized boxes of Raisin Bran.

One day, I had a bright idea. I got out the scissors and some duct
tape. I cut and taped three boxes together into a zig-zag formation
sort of like this:

   ____
   __  |
     | |___
     |___  |
         | |
         | |

At various places along the sides and top, I cut out little
"spy-holes", so Presto could watch us, put a paw through and slap at
us, and so on (Senyah didn't appreciate the ambush properties of this
- big grin).

Presto loved it, and it was his favorite toy for a couple of years.
When one portion wore out, I'd replace it with a new box.

Hugs and Purrs,
Mark

I know I am very lucky, BF.  I think you must be a lot like Stinky-- a
real gentlecat. ;)

Stinky is a great guard-cat and also just beautiful... I don't know why I'm
reminded of a cow when I see him (no offense, Stinky!).

Stinky is *extremely slow* to take offense-- indeed I am still waiting
for him to take offense about something that happened to him in 1994.
;)
All he knows is that you said he is beautiful, and he is now standing
in a sunbeam, trying out his profile. ;)
