Thanks for thinking of us, Adrian. We just got home. Mir-Mir is still a
bit woozy, but she came through it with flying colours. My scales
weren't very accurate; on the vet's scales she weighed 2.3 kg, so close
to their limit, and she's healthy otherwise, so there were no problems.
The vet there has studied in the US, and is familiar with their early
spay practices there, so she had no qualms about doing it now. They put
in dissolving stitches, so Miranda doesn't have to go back unless the
incision gets infected.
Poor little Miranda was terrified the whole way there. I could feel the
whole carrier shaking because she was shaking so much. Well, at least
she didn't say one peep the whole way there, or back for that matter.
That's a relief. It's enough with one 'singer' in the family.
Oops. I'm afraid the patient just ate a bug off the floor.

Persia eats bugs all the time. She's like a little cleanup crew (or perhaps
she's starving because she's on a diet) ;)

Snazzy bodystocking, btw. That style could easily catch on! :-)

Glad to hear that it went well!!
Did Frank hiss at her when she came back? or is he chuckling because
she got fixed?

LOL! "That's for taking me to the scary, smelly place, putting me to sleep

Poor Mir-mir! I'm sorry it was so scary for her, but I'm glad to hear she
came through it so well. Although I'm sure she doesn't appreciate the
TED-issue sweater she has to wear. And now you won't have to worry about a
sudden influx of bitties to have to find homes for. (Although any of her
kittens would have been lovely, I'm sure!)
