Spot had yet another visit to TED yesterday. She continues to put on
much needed weight. Guess with my seeing her everyday I haven't
noticed it, but she's almost at 7 pounds now. Her TED wants to wait
until she stabilizes before going ahead and scheduling her spay, so
still no date for that has been scheduled. So, yesterday was basically
a quick visit, with an ear wash thrown in. Her ear mite problem has
finally been licked, which may be a contributing factor in her now
liking ear scritches where she used to duck and pull away if you
reached to pet her head. We scheduled another appointment for next
week, where she'll get another weight check and get her shots. (Don't
tell LB, but she'll be going in for her shots, too.) BTW, Dr Haney
hasn't been charging for these visits. I'll be paying for the shots
and spay, but at a discount.

Course, we couldn't have made the visit without getting updates on the
two bitties he took as his own. They continue to flourish in their new
home. I think I told you before that they have pretty much taken over
his workshop. They continue to rule the shop, and have been getting
lots of playtime in the OUT when Dr Haney is there to supervise
(otherwise they are INSIDE shop cats only). The older resident shop
cat plays a little with them, and the hope is that they'll soon be
apprentice rodent controll experts and take over from him when the
time comes for his retirement.

How nice that Spot can enjoy ear scritches now. Purrs for the spay, when
it happens. It's the big day for Miranda today (in four hours). I
managed to weigh her yesterday, and she weighs exactly 2 kg (heh, just
realised I converted the wrong way around earlier; 2 kg is 4.4 lbs, not
less than 1!!!).

Glad to hear Spot's babies are doing so well in their new home, too.
