My Meowmy is wearing dead jeans

Tee hee!  I was lying on the bed when my meowmy started laying out the
clothes she wanted to put on.  Those jeans looked dangerous, so I attacked
them and vigorously bunny-kicked them until they were dead.  Then I burrowed
under them to make sure there were no greeblings hiding there.  Now she's
wearing them, and I'll bet she doesn't even know they're dead.

You're lucky! Mine brought me a pile of nice warm clothes with a good
smell, but then she put it all in drawers and on shelves before I could
make a nest in it.

Aww!  To bad!

My  Meowmy  always tries to put HER clothes away before I can nest in
dem too! So unfair, when the clothes smell so nice and are all warm
from da dryer. =o) But Meowmy and I always have a fun 'tug of war' game
as I pounce on her blouses, skirts and pants as she tries to pull them
out of da pile to hang them up in da  kloset while I hold on tight to
my end with my teeth and klaws.  At least, *I* think dat's fun!

Klothes Greeblings can be very sneeky in my experience, so you were
smart  to really kill dem, Nanki Poo. Whoo knows what might have
happened to your meowmie, otherwise.

I do that every morning to protect my Meowmie from pant greeblings!

I don't have to do it every morning, because when I kill something, it stays
dead.  ;-)

Nanki-Poo, did you stick your head into the pants legs to make sure?

Hee hee!  You're lucky that your jeans are dead, Joy.  Who knows what
might have happened if they had been alive.  Attack of the killer
jeans!!!
What is it about cats and jeans?  Every time I put on jeans, Vino
comes running and uses my legs as a scratching post.  This doesn't
happen with any other kind of pants.

Attack of the killer jeans - sounds like a great movie title.  <G>

It really surprised me.  I wear jeans almost every day, and this is the
first time either cat has shown any interest in them.  Maybe the texture has
something to do with it, for your cats.

Well, ever since we've lived in Thailand, I haven't worn jeans a lot
because it's generally too hot out.  So it is something different when
I do wear them.  But I have other pants that he doesn't do it to.  He
can tell the difference and I think it's because jeans are thicker and
more "scratchable".
I remember he always did it to my jeans when we still lived in
Vancouver.  When he was only a kitten he used to try it on my nylons
but that didn't go over too well with me and I managed to train him
out of it.

Grant used to love to lay along side me on the floor and scratch on my
jeans. There is apparently something alluring about the feel of denim. (He
was always amazingly careful to try not to get my skin under the jeans. Such
a gentleman he was.)

I generally wear overalls now a days, which Sammy loves to scratch on.
She can tell the difference between the old comfortably threadbare
ones and the new, and is carefull not to scratch too hard when I'm
wearing the older ones, knowing her claws go right through them. Along
the same line, she sometimes uses my shoulder as a springboard to get
into the high cupboards, but only does it when I have on a shirt thick
enough to cushion me from her claws. If I'm only wearing a t-shirt
she'll meow and look up, asking to be picked up and put in the
out-of-reach cupboard.

AWwwww. What a GOOD  girl!

Such a thoughtful kitty. My Rexie also likes to "stretch" on my jeans.
Actually, whenever I change clothes, he'll do it on whatever new item I've
donned.  Vet says he's putting his scent on the new item. This is fine
unless, say, the item I've put on is my lounging pj's, which are made of
extremely light flannel . . . . OUCH!!  He doesn't care what I put on . . .
scratch/stretch away!

I wish Miranda was this considerate. It doesn't matter if I'm wearing
shorts, she will climb up my bare legs, and it doesn't matter if I'm
wearing a thin t-shirt, she will continue up my back if she feels she
needs to get high up. Good thing I have thick skin. ;o)

Sammy hasn't always been considerate. In fact, there are still times
when she ignores what I'm wearing - most notably when she's visiting
TED. When she was a youngster and the urge struck, up she'd go. I'd go
"ouch" when she tried to climb/scratch and I was wearing something too
thin. And, of course, she has purr-fected looking up and meowing when
she really wants to do something. Guess we've sort of mutually trained
each other ;-)

Rita's been attacking my tv remote lately.  She hasn't changed any
channels lately, but I wonder if the greeblings got in there?
