Hubby either nailed or stapled himself with automatic nailer/stapler
today at work.  Reason i'm unsure is that I was at work when he called
and the dogs were kinda noisy.  I called the hospital a few minutes ago
and he was being wheeled into the OR just then to have the item removed.

Purrs for a speedy recovery and no infections would be nice, please and
thank you :)

Ouch!!  Hope he's on pain killers and that there are no infections,
though they'll probably give him a course of prophylactic antibiotics.

I guess that would depend on one's definition of inconvenient... twas
his left knee... so some of our ummm well, you know will have to be
carefully orchestrated in order not to hurt him worse... and he'll
likely have to take at least a couple of weeks off work.  He must have
already had some painkillers in him when he called me, cause he sounded
SO calm... either that or the pain from it hadn't set in yet, i've heard
that sometimes happens with extreme injuries...

Now, see, to us Brits (or me, anyways) a staple gun is something you use
to sheets fix paper together. I was thinking to myself, what a wuss...
ER and OR for a *staple*?? Then I realised what you USA'ians mean by a
STAPLE gun and they're honking great HUGE things!

Purrs that he's on the mend soon and not in too much pain!

Nah, the ones for the paper are just staplers, there are manual staple
guns and automatic ones for building purposes

The one he was using was an automatic one.

OWWWWWWWWWWWWWWWWWWW....

Somehow, I missed the original post, but it sure sounds painful.  I
hope your husband will be on the road to full recovery soon. (And that
he'll be a lot more careful when stapling things after this!)

OUCH!  My ex- was hit in the eye with a staple-gun once... he was okay

Hehehehe.. nope!  Though that is still going to be a delicate operation
so to speak since he won't be able to do missionary or from behind for a
while...  He took the staple in his knee.
