When I got up from my nap today, I couldn't find Rusty. He was in his
room, aka the atrium, when I went to bed. He likes to sunbath there.
I thought he may be sleeping in his carrier, but it is empty.
When I opened the door to his room,
I found him sitting in a box of old newspaper waiting for the recycle bin.
Guess he found a new place to sleep. But that box has been there for ages
and I never saw him there. He is full of surprises these days.
When I first got him, he sat under the rocking chair a lot. He hasn't done
that for ages, but started sitting there again recently.
Maybe I should drag out his old cat dancer to see if he is interested in it
again.

That is definitely a good idea. It's a amazing how they suddenly discover
"new" things (toys, sleeping places etc.). It could be a real hit.

It's funny, isn't it? Cats usually dislike change intensely - unless it's
*their* idea. Mine change their "favorite" places to sleep or hide every so
often.

Oooooo, that can be dangerous! I had a cat who used to do
that, and she had her tail rocked upon several times before
she finally got the idea that extending it beneath the
rockers was not a good idea.

When Rusty first came to live with me 10 years ago, I rocked on him
when he sat under the rocker. Scared me to death. Fortunately he was
not hurt. Now I have to once again check under the rocker when I
sit on it. He used to like to sit on the rocker too but stopped doing it.
He is so unpredictable. Wonder what he will come up with next.
