Yup, from what I heard from Dennis' stories, they can be extremely
nasty. This guy also had an evil sense of humour and would pee on the
window to their computer room from the outside. He didn't like it if
there wasn't at least 1 person hanging out with him on the deck.
I think he really bonded with hoomins because they adopted him at age
3 months from some guy who had him in a tiny cage in his yard along
with all sorts of other animals. The cage was so small, the monkey
couldn't even stand up! Very, very sad.
But it worked out pretty good for him, he lived in freedom on their
patio for several months while getting thoroughly spoiled. Finally,
one of the pilots gave him away when Dennis was on time off. He ended
up with their old "security guard", John.
John is about 70 and the monkey came to and from work with him,
sitting on his shoulders and holding onto his head as John rode his
bicycle. He was never confined but bonded with his "daddy" and
followed him around. The base got dismantled a few months ago, but
I'm sure John is still his buddy. It doesn't take much to feed him as
the monkey started picking his own fruit off the trees.
