I had a few pictures left in my camera that I took the other day. Frank and Nikki were doing the bookends thing, sleeping in the exact same positions, but when I took the picture, Nikki typically lifted her head and glared at me for disturbing her sleep. Every time I've been out and come back home, he comes to the door and looks around and inspects my bag. I think he's expecting me to bring back Nikki any day now. It breaks my heart, but at the same time he has been a wonderful comfort to me. He sees me crying and he comes and purrs and talks to me, headbutting and kissing me and purring up a storm. On the whole, he spends much more time with me than usually. I don't know if it's because he misses Nikki or because he wants to comfort me, but either way it does me no end of good.
