Did you ever have a "What WAS that before the cats found it?" moment?
I had one this morning. I went down to the basement to make sure the cats'
food and water bowls were filled, and the first thing that caught my eye
was the fact that a large portion of the basement floor was covered in
little shreds of white paper.
After a few moments, I determined that the Mighty Hunters had killed a
roll of paper towels. Fortunately, there weren't many towels left on said
roll at the time, but BOY did they ever do a number on it. Paper was
scattered everywhere!
I'm going to have to figure out a safe place to put the NEW paper towel
roll. Merely standing it on a shelf (as the previous one was) is just
asking for another dose of ex-paper-towels all over the floor.
CATS. These two year-old hoolikittens still operate by the philosophy that
anything that's not nailed down is a cat toy. (And anything they can pry
loose is not nailed down.) :o)

Oh yes. I have frequently found stuff that looks remarkably like some sort
of life form *after* it has been through a transporter malfunction, as per
Star Trek or The Fly ;-) Usually it's some sort of remains of rodent.
Ewww....

LOL
Yes, this is why I store my paper towels UNDER the kitchen sink, now.
=o) Nina, Captain, Stanley, Princess Rita and Mere all seem to have a
similar attitude toward greebling infested rolled paper products. WHich
is, "THEY MUST DIE!!!"

Never mind the paper towels and never mind the kitten
factor! My Deadly Duo: respectively over 5 and over 10 years, did the
"tear-it-into-tiny-bits" thing to one of my completed IRS forms this spring
that had been sitting on dresser - luckily I had a copy in another place.
Never did
discover whether that was an expression of their opinion of IRS (which does
not yet tax cats, AFAIK) *or* their extreme displeasure @ food bowls low
volume status @ my return from babysitting grand-daughter! I don't think I
wanna know...but no longer leave important papers on dresser.
