I had to go to the bank so while I was out I stopped at the grocery store.
Got home, put the groceries away.  Persia's all sweet and chatty, "Hi Mom,
where you been?  Did you bring me anything?"  Rubbing up against my legs,
acting like I'd been gone for a year.  I should have known something was up.

I walked into the living room.  Wait a second.  What's this?  An empty bag
of oyster crackers (small saltine crackers for soup/stew).  I realized I'd
left half a bag of them on the coffee table when I was eating a bowl of soup
last night.  The only evidence remaining was ONE solitary little cracker on
the floor next to the empty bag!  LOL

I used to have a handle on life...but it broke off.

Love it!

There is always something wrong when they are too sweet and chatty. For us
it normally means a bat in Deb's handbag or a dead mouse under the washing
machine!
