So I thought I was keeping the smallest, quietest, most reserved kitten
of the 3. However, over the past 2 days, Alfie has been hanging out with
his mentor and hero, HRFL Tiger.

HRFL Tiger has been teaching him EVERY bastard cat trick in the book.
Bear in mind Alfie is 1 1/2lbs & 6 weeks old....

So far, HRFL has shown him how to

1) Scream loudly when there is a door closed between you and the slave.
2) Open the kitchen cupboards (I caught Alfie trying to show Lola the
new trick at play time this morning)
3) Push things off the shelf onto the floor for attention.
4) Smack the dog effectively.
5) Puke up your dinner in a hard to clean spot on the cream sofa.
6) Protest loudly and squirm whilst having your claws clipped.
7) Get stoned on catnip.

HRFL Tiger is training a hoolikitten extrodinare!!!

I'd be worried about the health of any "calm" kitten. These days, Beatrice
is certainly not calm when she is awake. I'll have to try and get some video
of her frolicking. No way would she tolerate having claws trimmed at six
weeks!

BTW what does "HRFL" stand for?

HRFL stands for "His Royal Feline Lordship". And HRFL has worked out
that my 6'2" special forces brother who is home at the moment is more of
a sap than me when it comes to wrapping someone about his paw! If I
don't give him what he wants, he just walks up to Jay, whinges and says
"The Evil b*tch is being mean - I want...!" And he usually gets, with my
bro telling me how mean I am... <VBG>

LOL  No, Alfie is a good student!  One must never mistake a kitten for
"quiet".  It simply doesn't compute.  Even my older cat, Persia, is up to
something when she's "quiet".

lol -- it's a plot -- 'course you did name him "Alfie," maybe he's living up
to the name.

That was the beginning of your problem right there.

My roomie and I have a running joke between us.

Me:  Kristen, look at these adorable pics of bitties!!!  Can we get a
bitty, PLEASE??!!

Kristen:  No, absolutely not.

Me:  But they're so CUTE!!!  How much trouble can one little bitty get
into?  (I'm totally being sarcastic, and i say it just to annoy the
heck out of her hehehe)

Kristen:  They can get into PLENTY of trouble, and besides don't forget
they become CATS.

Me:  C'mon, just one little bitty......

Normally at this point, she's giving me the look of death and
contemplating throwing something at me.  But I'm her roommate and her
best friend so not only am i allowed, i'm obligated to mess with her.
hehehehehe

Bitties are soooooooo cute.......  I WANT A BITTY!!!!

Which reminds me, I DID take some pix of Spot's bitties. Don't hold
your breath, though, as the camera isn't digital and I haven't
developed anything yet. I'll post a link when I get them developed,
probably putting them on a new page at my sadly neglected web site.

LOL! It's always the  "Quiet ones" isn't it? <G>  Alfie was psyching you
out, Helen. <G> Now he's Tiger's star pupil.

<nod> Mere was the "quiet one" of her litter, and look at everything she
gets up to. Alfie is a good adept.

HRFL Tiger is a good teacher. I bet he is smirking "My son, the
hoolikitten!" Every male wants son to follow in his footsteps. Just
hope Alfie doesn't grow up and continue the dynasty!
