His job's gone again. And once again it was less than a week after his
so-called employers assured him that everything was well. They're all
a bunch of !@#%$^&*(&^Y%$#$%^*(*&^%^*()_O*&^%$%^*(*&^%# scumsucking
bottomdwelling SOBs. I just went to the doctor yesterday and I'm
supposed to see a specialist for some tests but I had to cancel - no
job means no insurance again.
I'm starting to hate this country... not that Australia's any better
but at least they have social welfare and subsidised medical care.
John's been waiting three YEARS to get decent medical care because
they keep changing insurance policies or he has to change employers
and nobody will recognise previous waiting periods so they keep
resetting the goddamned clock over and over again.
The cats keep running away from me because I'm angry and upset and
it's scaring them... they don't know that I'm not angry at THEM :(
Anyway, this must be making my love feel bad... purr for him please.

Ack..... I'm so sorry, Karen. And I'm sorry you've had to put your medical
care on hold because of the liars who your husband used to work for! I
sympathize with your frustration, right now. When you can, you might want to
just sit on the couch, and quietly wait for Silver and Scout to come to you.
Then you can reassure them that this is in no way their fault.
Purrs for John. I hope he'll soon be re-employed.

Silly forgave me... she came and jumped up onto my shoulder and chewed
on my hair and purred for me a bit. I haven't seen Scouty... but I
think she's okay. She usually spends at least part of her afternoons
on the computer chair in the bedroom. For some reason she really likes
it...

Purrs that things work out. It really sucks that they told him things
were OK and then let him go. I think your cats are just giving you
some space. I'm betting they'll be there when you need them.

I'm a native of the US and I've come to hate certain aspects of living
here. Like the health insurance thing.

I am glad here in Canada I still have basic government medical insuarnce
even when I am unemployed. Because of my income bracket, I don't have
to pay the premium. It doesn' cover drugs, and I hope I don't need
costly drugs in the future.
But at least if for whatever reason I end up in a hospital I won't
get stuck with a large bill. In hindsight, I am glad I moved here from US.
Now if only I got insurance for Rusy, I don't know how long I can keep
up with his vet bills, prescription food and medicine It is going up as he
ages.
Rusty is sending along purrs.

Can't offer any concrete help, but sending purrs your way that a good
job soon appears. Not to make light of the job loss, but it sounds
like a lousy place to work.
Hope that the kits are just sensing that you need some time to calm
down, and will soon forgive your bad mood.

It sounds like you need some kitty therapy. So, quietly and gently
pick up a kitty or two and gently sit down and cuddle and murmer to
get them purring and then cry your troubles out while they heal your
frustration. Then you share the kitty buzz with John. We are purring
for you both. And I really hope John gets a stable job with some
employer with compassion. Hugs,

I'm so sorry, Karen. That really stinks. I sure can understand your

Karen and John,
Purrs on the way for both of you that John is able to find something he
really likes that provides you with the health insurance you both need
and the income to keep the cats happy (can't forget the cats, right?)
