The Miles bitties are kept in a large dog pen in my sitting room so that
my adult cats can have their normal routine and Bonnie, my d*g doesn't
keep pestering them.

This morning, the bitties were allowed out to play. At 5 weeks old, they
are starting to practise "hissy halloween cats", and I had a *VERY*
entertaining 1/2 hour watching them puff up and leap sideways as they
stalked and pounced on each other.

Of course, even though he HATES "kids", HRFL Tiger had to supervise the
proceedings. Flannagan is the biggest, boldest kitten. I just know that
he is going to grow up a complete hoolikitten. He's afraid of *nothing*.

Flanagan swatted the dog on her nose, and then kept pouncing and
attacking her tail. *Then* he had the audacity to go up to HRFL Tiger
sideways in full Halloween mode, and hiss. Tiger was appalled. This
snotty little upstart had the audacity to actually hiss at him. So Tiger
hissed back. Of course, being who he was, Tigers hiss was way more
venomous and impressive. Flanagan was completely unphased. He pounced on
Tigers tail. Tiger hissed again. Flanagan ignored him and continued to
kill Tigers tail. HRFL had no idea what to do - normally, one hiss and
the perpetrator who's being hissed at runs for the hills. Not Flanagan -
He's like "WHAT-ever!" and carried on with what he was doing. So Tiger
did the only thing he could. He grabbed Flanagan and gave him a vigorous
bath.

Of course, once Lola and her brother Alfie (I renamed him as Murphy
didn't suit him) worked out that this "big bad cat" (i.e. Tiger) was
actually all mouth and no action, this was their excuse to join their
brother in the "kill-the-big-bad-cats-tail" adventure.

I think Tiger has been rumbled as a soft touch by the bitties. ;o)

What can I say...PICCIES!!!  WE WANT PICCIES!!!!

I remember when Weebs was a tyke, he was galivanting around, pouncing
everyone & everything, when DH brought out our "Bouncing Tigger" doll
(http://www.epinions.com/kifm-Toys-All-Bounce_Around_Tigger___Roo/display_~full_specs).
You push down on his head, and he starts bouncing and singing his theme song
("the most wonderful thing about Tiggers is...").  DH set it near Weebs and
activated it.  Weebs arched his back, tail straight up & puffed, and hissed
his loudest (which wasn't very loud).  He was the perfect Halloween Cat, but
an IBK!  I wish we had caught it on camera (still or video).

Now, if we bring out Tigger & activate it near Weebs, Weeb will sniff it,
and look at it as if to say "you don't scare me" and wander of as if he
don't care...

Sounds just like when Stinky first met Battery-Operated Godzilla.  Now
I just send it at him sometimes to appreciate the boredom he registers
when it's around. ;)

Oh dear... I think  Tiger is in for a long couple of weeks, here. He didn't
respond aggressively enough to an insurgency!   =o)

Piccies, please!  I love it when Kittens move sideways.

ROTFLOL!  What a delightful story!  You told it so well, I could picture the
whole thing.  Thanks for sharing it.

I would love to have seen the action. But then I would have kitten
fever. Tiger will be a good Paw.

Poor, poor, Tiger.  May his "dominator" spirit return soon.
