We've settled on Flanagan and Murphy. The two brothers look like a
couple of pikeys with cheeky expressions.

"Crunch and Des" somehow come to mind!  I don't suppose many
here are old enough to remember Phillip Wylie's short
stories about those two Florida fishermen, but the names
seem appropriate for a couple of male cats - especially some
with "watery" associations.

Arrrg, those poor bitties.  The things some people will do just amaze me!
Nevertheless, I'm glad these bitties were rescued and can expect a much
happier future.  Last year, a friend of mine on the East Coast   fostered a
very pregnant mama cat who had been trapped in a plastic tupper-ware bowl
with a hole cut in the lid, and then set afloat in a river. She too, was
fortunately rescued by my friend's teenage daughter  who was in the right
place at the right time.

Well they've been named already, as I read. =o) I'm glad the three of them
are safe and together with you, Helen.

Well, if their sister is Lola, then they should be Lalo and Lolo. :)

Thank you for the earworm ... I now have the Kinks' "Lola" going through
my head. Guess I'm getting in practice for when I see Ray Davies in a
few weeks' time.
