I look around at my three owners and I can't begin to count the number
of blessings I have. They all three get along. No one has a litter box
attitude. They are all lap fungi. They all know their names and come
to them. They all like to avail themselves of the bed and the sleeping
human therein (okay, so maybe that one isn't such a blessing all the
time), they are all VERY healthy with bright eyes and bushy tails. They
all can eat the same food, no one is overweight. They feel so
comfortable that I will step over them that they lay in the middle of
the floor even in the middle of the night assuming I will step over that
pair of shorts I see in the middle of the floor instead of kicking them
aside only to find out it was a cat instead - I now step over ALL things
that look like a pair of shorts in the middle of the floor in the dark.
It would help immensely if I would just pick up my shorts from the
middle of the floor :).
I just feel so blessed to be owned by the three cats I have. I know
they all love me. And they are all so unique. I can't imagine not
having had any one of them.

I feel the same way. Stinky is such a sweetheart, and so dear and
sweet and amiable, and so little trouble. Just a puke here and a
hairball there. And a BONG BONG BONG PLINK on the piano keyboard in
the middle of the night . . . and a mouse in my bed . . . and a fine
layer of black hair stuck to my leg as I get out of the shower . . .
and . . .

I agree...they are a blessing and also a comfort as companions who love us
unconditionally, as long as they
live. You can't get that kinda love from a hoomin (at least I couldn't).

My thoughts exactly, regarding all my owners. With a few minor exceptions:
Baby Eyes' skin rashes, Eli's occasional attacks on Abelard, and the way
Billy chews on my hands when he needs brushing.

What a sweet thought, Bridget. You are indeed lucky and blessed.

I have no idea how I survived before Soncek adopted me. I know that I am
just so much happier now. He is happy and healthy and what more could I wish
for. Thanks for reminding me, Bridget.
Lots of purrs and best wishes for you and your family, Bridget,

Thanks so much for that! Sometimes, when the little stinkers are all
pulling their little tricks, it's possible to forget how much they
bring to our lives. Your article reminded me to count my blessings
too.

I only have two owners now, apart from that things are pretty much the
same here. Aren't cats wonderful?
