Well, this is a new one.  This morning, I somehow managed to drop a
box of Meuslix on the floor, and some cereal spilled.  I was about to
clean it up, but hesitated because Oscar seemed interested; instead, I
let her nose around while I ate breakfast.

Oscar apparently eats cereal.  I don't think she touched the dried
fruit, but the other stuff was, according to her, quite yummy.

It probably shouldn't surprise me; when she was a kit, I'd give her
peanut butter Cap'n Crunch to play with.  But I don't think she ever
ate those, just rolled them around and batted them.

Sugar and Pearl like snack crackers.

Stinky loves shredded wheat, both as a toy and a consumable. ;)

How cute!  One of Betty's favorite foods appears to be... muffins.
Doesn't seem to matter what kind - banana, coffee cake, blueberry...
she'll beg for them all.  She usually doesn't get any though, because
that can't be a very nutritious food for her.

I simply haven't been able to find a pattern in which foods Oscar will
eat.  She's extremely picky, but I can't figure out what it is she's
being picky about.

There is a bagel place near me that sells enormous, greasy delicious
muffins.  Stinky goes nuts when I bring home the blueberry or carrot
kind.

It must be the grease. Cali likes her crunchies too, Doritos, Wasa, Snack
Crackers, but they are extra tasty with margerine. :)

My lovely never to be forgotten Henri, always shared my nutragrain
with me, I've only just found one that Wilson likes Uncle Toby's
'Sports Plus' but he eats very little, mostly I think its the flavour of the
milk
but he has come looking for it the last few mornings   Jean.

Well, there you go. She must have heard you say the name of the cereal and
thought you were calling it MEW-slix. :o)

[ducking tomatoes]

Actually, Oscar's not alone. My first cat (Misty, RB) liked Alpha Bits.
There was also a long time when she refused to eat gooshyfood that didn't
have crumbled bran cereal sprinkled on it.

This insistence on the bran garnish for her supper began when I was
finishing up a box of said bran cereal (I believe Kelloggs used to make
it, and I know the cereal was called "Most"). There were a LOT of little
bran shreds at the bottom of the box, so out of curiosity, I put some in
the cat dish. She ate them ALL, enthusiastically.

Next time she turned up her nose at dinner, I sprinkled some bran on it to
see if that helped. Yep, she ate the whole thing. After one or two more
"sprinkle bran on the rejected cat food" events, Misty quickly figured out
that she'd get bran on her gooshyfood if she refused to eat it.

She got her bran from then on. Twice a day. For YEARS. The only thing that
put the brakes on this was the fact that she had to be switched to eating
C/D dry food at about 9 years of age. Had she not needed prescription cat
food, I think she'd have spent the rest of her nine lives eating bran on
her gooshyfood. :o)

Donna, Captain, and Stanley (neither of whom have tried cereal yet)

Haha, my Venus eats sour pickles. She also likes to munch on mentho
cigarettes, but luckily the few times I caught her doing that, I als
found she doesn't eat them, just chews on them. I quickly learned t
keep them out of her reach. After all, it just can't be good for her
Marilou (not with me anymore) had a liking for insanely expensiv
Italian sausage (which I actually only bought for myself, but she foun
ways to steal it anyway), and she ate it complete with the pepper grain
and the skin! (And no, that's not what killed her, she's not even dead
she just found herself another home :)
