I'll tell her.  I've booked another trip.  I'm leaving on June 1st and will
return the evening of June 7th.  And yes, Persia and the
silly-bird-that-dunks-in-the-water, Peaches, will be in the "smelly place"
from May 31st until June 8th.  I hate to leave my babies but they take good
care of them there.

They love my Persia, and they put Peaches' cage in where the vet techs are.
Last trip they told me Peaches just chirped her head off and Marie (the
tech) was singing to her and playing music for her.  Ms. Karen goes and
checks on Persia several times a day and pats her and talks to her.  If
there aren't other cats being boarded, they let her out in the room and she
roams around and climbs the cages and meows at them to come tell her how
pretty she is :)

Persia is doing well on her diet.  She's adapted to the point where she
doles her own food out in measures rather than chowing it all down and
begging for more.  She's one smart kitty!

Of course this morning I was stirring just in time to see a kitty paw reach
out and tap me.  I looked into this sweet face with big green eyes gazing
hopefully at me and she said, "Mrrrph?"  LOL  Yes, okay, it's time for some
food.

Anyway, I'm going to Kansas City (actually we'll be staying in Lenexa and
the show is in Prairie Village).  John and I did this art show last year and
it was very successful.  I'm hoping for another successful show this year.

It's so great you have a place where they take such good care of Persia and
Peaches while you are away. I'm glad to hear Persia is doing well on her
diet.
Lots of best wishes for the show to be even more successful than last
year's,

I hope you have a fun & safe trip, and that the art show is more productive
than the last one.

I know if Weeble find out that Persia is going to "da smelly place", he
*will* tell Persia, so I will refrain from telling him, but he does like to
sneak up on me and sit near my shoulder while I'm reading "da noosgroopz".
Mimi likes to pretend being a paperweight on my desktop, so *if& she sees
your post, she'll blab it all to Weeble, then Persia will know.

Thanks, I hope so for John's sake.  He has a lot of return patrons there (I
remember meeting Linda and Steve who buy at least one painting from him
every year and last year they bought THREE!)

Unfortunately I have no idea how to pack.  The weather is so unpredictable
this year.  It was supposed to be around 80F in Huntsville, then it got
COLD.  It was 90F here yesterday; today it's 70F.  Kansas City is 10 degrees
cooler today than it is here.  I'll have to keep an eye on things much
closer to the day of my flight.  John said I looked cute wearing his flannel
shirt and an old denim jacket of his.  But dammit!  I want to look pretty!
;)  I have warm clothes of my own if only I know to pack them.

LOL I told Persia.  She replied by sniffing at her cat carrier and meowing
that she doesn't believe me.  "June 1st?" she mrrphed (and consulted her
kitty calendar), "That's a long time from now so we'll see."

She's currently lounging on *her* knitted afghan, sniffing the fresh air
from the open windows, occasionally napping.  She appears to be very
unconcerned.
