Not only was Mere born into a good home, my niece hand-fed the kittens from day one, so they got used to being close to hoomins all the time. I love that, too, the sense that the cat feels entitled to *your* body, and to treat it like furniture. ;) I love it that Stinky likes to camp out on my chest for a meatloafing session-- and that he relaxes, and stretches out more and more until he goes rolling off. ;) That trust is so wonderful.
