Our central heating system has been kaput for a while. Today an engineer
came to fix it. Waffles adored him! She walked up to him, tail up, whiskers
forward, ears up. She chirruped at him - he put his hand out, stroked her
head and she rubbed her head against his hand & wrapped her tail around his
wrist! What a little tart she's becoming in her old age ;-) She obviously
chatted him up successfully, as the central heating is now fixed and running
smoother and quieter than it ever has done.

The engineer wasn't my type ;-)

Cheers, helen s

Waffles obviously wanted to make sure everyone in the household stayed
warm. =o) It's her duty to look after her hoomin, after all.  But I'd
say she knows honey captures more central heating engineers than
vinegar!

Indeed. The boiler is located in the garage and Waffles positined herself in
the rafters above the engineer and she was intently wathcing him as he
worked. She was obviously checking that his work was up to standard.

Waffles, m'dear, are you aware that your hoomin is calling you a tart to
the whole world? Are you just going to let that slip by? And who is this
bloke anyway? Something I should know?

Hopefully still your only gentleman friend,
Frankie

Indeed you are my one and only, dear sweet Frank. What the stupid human here
doesn't realise is that I simply introduced myself to the human engineer and
via mind-control, simply made sure he did the job properly. As you know, my
sweet, humans are dim and inferior to us. How could you think a mere human
could gain my affections? The human here was simply trying to divert
attention away from her own tardiness at getting an engineer to fix the
heating system. Tardiness of several months I may point out...

A central heating system fixed, helped by the power of the purr. :-)
