I have a semi domesticated feral cat living in my garage. He is the
coolest cat I have ever had, he is almost a dog in the way he comes to
me when I give him the signal I am outside. I have feed him for 3 years
and had him in the house a few times.
He is VERY VERY sick. He went from a Mountain Lion to a very sick cat
in 2 days. Swollen eyes, sneezing..I went to the vet and he gave me
something to put in his food(he doesn;t eat) and some gop for his eyes,
which I have applied and it has temporariy worked.
He could never meow more than a whisper and the vet said it was a
Respitory problem...For 4 days now he hasbeen suffering, he leaves the
garage and sits in the weeds all day and returns to the box in the
garage at night, rarely eating.
Any quick and cheap solution..he is battling fiercely

Try a different vet. As for the medicine, you may need something other than
"to put in his food"; many of us have had to pill our cats or squirt a
liquid dropper of medicine in the cats mouth.

I didn't bring him to the vet I described his symptoms and they gave me
this liquid. He said if I could get in in his mouth to do so but the
cat would have scratched me or pull away but maybe now I can do because
he is so weak. I thought maybe someone had a magic elixir from the old
country.

In all fairness, you expect anyone over the internet to help you to treat a
cat you cannot medicate and have not taken to a vet and that we have never
seen?
All I can suggest is pray and light a candle. Because you are asking for an
unassisted miracle.

No magic elixir. You need to get that antibiotic in him. Is he drinking? Can
you try mixing it in tuna water? Sometimes even the sickest cats will eat
that.

If at all possible, I'd say you need to get him in and actually seen
by a vet. No, no magic elixir here. You might have better luck if you
mix the medication a food your cat considers a treat. I'm currently
giving my Sammy antibiotics. At first I tried squirting it in her
mouth, but she fought that. Following advice seen here, I've been
mixing her dose in tuna, and she licks the plate clean. Tuna doesn't
work for all cats (my Little Bit turns her nose up at almost all
hoomin food, including tuna). So, if your cat won't eat tuna, you
could try sour cream, yogurt, or some of the kitten mik they have at
some pet stores.

If you are smart enough to use the computer, you are smart enough to read
---TAKE him to a Vet. Nothing is quick and cheap. If you care for the
cat show your "manhood" and take him to a Vet. MLB

I'm pretty sure there's no cat. Look at this guy's email address.

Have to agree that I wondered myself if there was really a sick kitty,
or just a troll. Leaning towards a troll since there's a followup post
a half hour later talking about the dying cat.
If there is a cat, I'm hoping the OP is following the advice of others
and getting the sick cat to the vet.

My first thought was a troll. But as there are many stupid "kids" in this
world, I felt he needed a push. Probably wasted in both cases. MLB

This is possible and I also wondered about it. However, I responded to
another of this person's messages (in the thread "cat dying HELP"), just in
case there really is a cat in the condition he described.

Yes, 'All Man', get a pair of thick gloves, put on a thick jacket, get
the carrying crate ready, pick him up, put him in it and get him to the
vet NOW.

The best bet is to bring him back to that vet, or to another vet if you're
not satisfied with the help the first one gave you.
From the sound of it, bringing him to an emergency vet clinic, if there's
one in your area, is an option worth considering.
Most of us can empathize with the fact that a sudden crisis-care vet bill
can take a chunk out of one's budget. The posters on this group have all
been there. But a lot of vets will work out payment plans with pet owners,
and I'm sure you can talk to the vet about that.
Unfortunately, with symptoms like you've described, there really aren't a
lot of options for relief besides taking the kitty to a vet. He sounds
like he's gone beyond the point where home remedies will be effective.
I hope your vet gives you good news and your kitty's illness is easily
treatable, and that he makes a full recovery. He sounds like a great cat.

Stop watching him suffer - get him to a doctor.
