Indiana Feral Park Cats:  Final Update (I hope)

Apologies for taking so long to post this (hopefully) final update on
the feral park cats in Richmond, Indiana.

Ironically, it was politics that solved the problem.  A new mayor was
elected, and she even (while campaigning) went out with the caretakers
and helped feed the ferals!  She has since worked with the caretakers
and they have an agreement that they will be left alone to do what
they need to do for the cats.

I'm sure all your calls, e-mails and letters helped make a difference.
I suspect this issue was the defining one in the election, in fact.

There is an excellent summary of what has happened at the following

Thank you so much for taking your time and energy to help these cats.
May they continue to have a happy future.

Wow. This is great. And what a great set, with the shelters and all. I mean,
they could really be the "Poster organization" for cities with feral
problems. Thanks for the update!

Glad this story had such a good ending -- I remember this whole scenario at
the time you originally posted.
Yay!
