Tap-tap with the paw.  Mom, I'm hungry. (Mom rolls over... "It's not time
yet, Persia.")  But I'm hungry!  "It's not time yet!"  Mom rolls over.
Persia snuggles, snuffles, purrs.  Tap tap.  "NO Persia, it's not time yet!"
Persia curls up and purrs while mommy strokes her fur and falls back to
sleep.  15 minutes later - Tap tap with the fuzzy paw.  The purrs in the
ear.  Kitty licks on the cheek.

By this time I have to use the 'facilities' so she takes this moment to
accompany and gently bite Mom on the knee and rub her entire self on Momma's
legs and present her with her butt.  (Persia takes this as a sign that I'm
going to feed her).  " It's not time yet!"  She's trying all her kitty wiles
on me.  Putting an 18 lb. fluffy kitty on a diet is fun.

Sorry, Persia, I'm going back to bed.  Feel free to join me. :)

I used to have a handle on life...but it broke off.

She may not quickly lose pounds, but it sounds like you're quickly losing
sleep!  ;>  Purrs for successful dieting for Persia and a successful night's
sleep for you!

Sleep deprivation of their hoomin is an art form to cats. Especially when
their hoomin does something of which they don't approve. Like the dread
D-i-e-t. <G>

Some cats seem to think that their humans are vending machines.  Just
push a few buttons to get food and treats. :)

Just ask Molly, who delicately stuck a claw into the end of my big toe this
morning.  Jake was sitting right there watching, just as if she'd said to
him.  "Look it's time to go out and we need her to open the door.  Watch
this!"
