For some reason while QC will go out in the cat enclosure (aka kitty
jail) he doesn't think of it as being outside. So we have days where we
hear non-stop baby kitten cries at the back door from a 23 lb. cat that
wants OUT. Usually these pleas get one someone's nerves eventually, and
end up with someone yelling at the cat to shut up. Not that ever works.
Today was no exception, except that I was the only one here and I can
ignore QC better than the rest of the crew. I was in here playing on
the puter and suddenly realized that it was quiet. Too quiet. Quiet
like something had happened to QC. So I got up from my chair, walked
through the bedroom, and down the hall to the living room to
investigate. Only to stop dead in my tracks at the entrance to the
living room. QC was standing on his back paws trying to open the door
with his front paws. He was concentrating so much that he either didn't
hear me walking up behind him, or didn't care. He was trying so hard to
get those huge paws with long fur between the toesies to turn that door
knob.
I carefully walked up behind QC then bent over and whispered in his ear.
"It won't do you any good, the dead bolt is also locked." I jumped
back in time to avoid a huge and hard head that shot up into the air,
along with 23 lbs. of Maine Coon cat. QC spun around and gave me an
evil glare, then stalked off down the hall. I found him hiding behind
the shower curtain in the main bathroom about fifteen minutes later. He
gave me another evil glare, then stalked out of the bathroom. I haven't
seen or heard him since.

ROTFLOL!!!! Good grief, I just laughed so hard that I woke Stanley, who
HAD been asleep next to me on the sofa. I earned myself a half-asleep
kitty glare into the bargain.
Fortunately, after a day of playing hard, Stanley's dropping right back
off to sleep, even as I type. But LOL, that story is funny! This one
needed a BW for sure! :o)

arrgh! You just caused me severe hysteria! I can picture it perfectly,
having done similar eeeevil deeds. Here I am, sneezing in clusters of 3 or 5
times every few minutes, and trying to laugh so hard I don't dare pick up my
coffee...

Oh Pam, you'd better get some treats out and smooth things out with QC!
Bono always tries to open doors too so if I want them closed they need to be
locked - not that stops him trying though ...
