Yesterday I spoke to Nancy in the morning and she told me she was going
to the store for kitty kibble. When I spoke with her again in the
evening she told me she ran into some folks that desperately needed to
rehome some kittens, so she took one. SHe's been with us all of a day
and a half now.

Waffles, reign in your hoomin! You must not let her succumb to this
fever! My hoomin went out and got a kitten recently, and I haven't had a
moment's peace since then.

on the bed all the time, just like before the kitten got here.

I finally got to see Ranger for myself yesterday. She's the cutest
little thing! She still has the triangular tail thing going, and is all
fuzzy and soft. Her fur had been solid grey but is now showing signs of
getting lighter, except for stripes along her back and sides. I believe
she's going to be a mackerel tabby.

She seems to have chosen Samuel as her official play buddy. Her head
barely comes up to Sammy's chest, but when she sees Sammy anywhere
within about 10 feet she'll charge him and tackle one of his paws,
wrapping both of her paws around his. Or she'll jump up and wrap her
paws around his neck. And Sammy, gentle soul that he is, let's her do
it. It's really something to see.
