for a couple of weeks.  Last week Lacey's eyes began watering and
yesterday she began sneezing.  She has pollen allergies and I had hoped
that was all that was wrong but a trip to TED was in order so we went in
this morning before I went to work.  What probably began as allergies
has developed into an infection and she is now on antibiotics and eye
ointment.  Since we don't want to infect the entire crew of the Mouser
she will have to stay behind for a couple of weeks.  She is very upset
by this(or maybe she's just upset that I made her go to TED) and wants
everyone to know that if it was up to her she'd be with you swabbing decks.

Thank you Marina. She looks so pitiful when she isn't feeling well and
now she's feeling sorry for herself as well - and no one is at home to
pamper her. We'll make up for it tonight.

Purrs and healing thoughts for you, Miss Lacey.  When you feel up to it,
you can ghost out to join us.  We won't be setting sail until mid May,
so you have almost three weeks to feel better.  Make your meowmie pay
for making you go to TED and delay setting sail.  We'll look forward to
hearing your stories of revenge and punishment.

Aye Lacey!  Purrs that everything works out for you and a great big
HISSPIT to TED!!!

At least your meowmie doesn't work for TED

hope to see you soon,

Mischief

What, you doubt our clinic here on the mouser?  As one of the medics I
am personally insulted.  I see to it quite often that my person gets her
medical needs met.  I am quite sure we could meet Lacey's needs.  I
would even place her on a limited schedule for now until she feels better.

Not to mention there are not nearly so many of those allergy like things
flying around here on the ship as there are on the land.  This would be
a purrfect place for Lacey to recuperate.

HRFL Tiger would like you to know that he doesn't swab decks - he
supervises the other kitties and tells them *how* to swab. ;o)

Miss Lacey,

I am so looking forward to making your acquaintance aboard the Mouser.
Your kindness and consideration in trying to protect the rest of the
crew from you illness warms this southern boy's heart.  When you join us
I am sure you will be the belle of the ball.  Best wishes for a speedy
recovery.

Shableee here: Hey Lacey, der's sum stuff at the Furball med-cine store dat
will be good fur you, after yur off anteebiawtics.  You shud ask yur meowmie
to get you:

Astragulus: best in tincutre form (glycerine, not alcohol) 3 drops twice a
day. helps boost kitty's immune system.

Yogurt:  a teaspoon full of plain yogurt, once a day, for a week will help
rebuild intestinal flora killed by the anti-bios.

Eyebright:  Meowmie should make tea from the raw herb (1tsp herb to 1 cup
boiling water, steep for 20 min) & use cotton balls soaked in luke warm tea
to help soothe your irritated eyes.

Ah, purrs on the way for the meds to work quickly so that Lacey can
join the crew after her medical leave
