Dunno if any of you are weather junkies like me, but this stunning display
of cirrus clouds (and some lambswool altocumulus) was too gorgeous for me to
go past.
They were in the southern half of the sky at approximatley 12:15pm today at
Port Kembla (where I work) but had vanished by 1pm.

The photo does not do the sight justice.

Y'know, Yowie, I haven't seen cirrus clouds like that since I was back in s.
Florida. You captured their beauty
great on film.

Beautiful! When I see something like that it feels like my heart just fills
up to bursting thinking about the wonders of nature and the universe we live
in!

Lovely. THe kind of clouds I've always called "Horse tails" cause they
look like the tails on running horses.

As a child , I was taught to be a cloud watcher. No radio or TV, so we
sought entertainment in cloud watching and bird watching, etc. We used to
try to see figures (animals, etc) in cloud formations. I still try to see
figures in clouds. MLB

Those clouds are amazing. My mother studied meteorology before she
married, so weather has always been important in our family. Out on the
island, you have to pay close attention to the weather, since it affects
your life very much there, seeing as the only way to go e.g. shopping is
by boat.

Me late again huh, I alwayslook at beautiful white clouds I see pictures in
them, and when I was flying back from QLD about {I think} 2yrs ago,
I thought I was in wonderland, I too tried to take photo's but they just
didn't quite depict what I was seeing, they were pure white, as the driven
snow, and looked just like I was in the middle of an avelanche, absolutely
beautiful. Jean.
