Harvey, the stray cat with the abscess on his face, went back to TED
today for a check-up. TED was very pleased with him and said he's
healing nicely. He should be completely healed in 10 to 14 days. TED
gave me some ointment to rub on his face, I don't know how easy it will
be, it took me 10 minutes to catch him today to take him to the vet and
he hides every time I go into the room. He's still very nervous but if I
have to catch him every day I will, I don't want to traumatise him
though. He has a very good appetite and is very clean so wherever he
ends up living he will be a great cat.

A house is not a home, without a cat.

Glad to hear he is healing so well, and sending purrs for the
ointment-rubbing.

He seems to be less afraid of women, so my mother is giving him his
ointment. Even though he hisses at her he seems to like it, he likes ear
scritches too.

Ooh, that's nice. I'd offer to lend a female hand, but am a little too
far away. ;o)

I'm glad he's doing better.  Purrs coming full blast that he settles in
soon.

We need a picture! Can you get him when he is sleeping? That's what I always
do.

I don't have a camera at the moment, I'll have to borrow one.

Try giving Harvey a treat before you put the ointment on,
and then a treat after you are done.  If treats don't help,
a little tuna might.  I do this with my cats and while they
still hate the medicine, they will let you do it for the
treats.

Purrs for hsi recovery!  He will probably relax more when he stops
being taken to the vet all the time!

Wilson say's he is still purring for Harvey, and he understands why
Harvey runs away cause he still does it too, but he's learning, and knows
his Meowmie will never hurt him.   We hope Harvey gets better very soon
scitches and Purrs to him     Jean.P.  on behalf of Wilson.
