The last couple of days I've had a stonker of a migraine. Thankfully a rare
event these days. Waffles has duly done her nursing duties most excellently.
Both yesterday and today I have been brought my medicine - a freshly caught
mousie each day. One has to keep one's strength up by eating properly, you
know.

Cheers, helen s

Good girl, Waffles. You know how to take care of Mommy.

Purring that your head feels better soon.

Thank you Katz. My head is fine, it's just the feeble human who is pathetic.

Purrs, Waffles

I surely hope that among Waffles duties, the most important of course is
providing your meds, she manages to pull the drapes to make your room nice
and dark, provides a fan or opens the windows for a cool gentle breeze and
makes sure that no noise, other than perhaps a lovely classical piece plays
to sooth your hurting head.

Do you have the mentholated migraine patches there?  They are very helpful.
Does Waffles curl up close but not touching (because cats can get so HOT?)
She is a wonderful and caring nurse!
So glad that you do not get migraines often any more!

I started with migraine when I was  ten years old.  I used to stretch out
on the couch and Friskie, my white and black first kitty, used to lay
across my forehead.  The warmth seemed to help.  MLB

LOL.  We'll have to send that one in to the Surgeon General - "New cure for
migraines found - freshly killed mouse!"

I hope you're feeling better, Helen, I know how debilitating migraines can
be!

Maybe Waffles thought you had a Mice-graine?

It's kind of her to be so concerned about you! Nevertheless, hope the
headaches and the Mice let up soon.

Frank is swelling with pride that his beautiful girlfriend is taking
such good care of her hoomin. We are all sending purrs that the migraine
eases up soon.

Maybe the BMA should carry out a study on how a freshly caught mousie is
used in the treatment of migraine. Purrs that you soon feel better, take
two cats and lie down in a darkened room.

Seems a reasonable request for funding as today I am much better, so went
out for a 30'ish miler on the bike, in constant drizzle and that famous
cyclists' wind, "The Againsterly" i.e. headwind there & back ;-) It
certainly cleared the head and blew away the cobwebs! And I didn't have to
use my granny ring once!

Cheers, helen s

Not some strnage fetish term, honest ;-) Front chainring - the thing the
pedals sturn. When there are three chainrings, the granny ring is the
smallest one as it is the one for easiest cycling - only used by the unfit
or grannys - helps a lot when going up a hill ;-)

Oh, kinda like the "granny" gear on pickup trucks with the "Heavy Duty"
transmission.  You get past 10 mph in granny and you'd swear the engine's
gonna blow!

Naturally I hope your migraine has departed by now,
and that Waffles can relax.    Jean.P.
