Nancy interviewed for two jobs today. When the interview was over she
was told to figure out which of the two jobs she would prefer, as she
will be offered a job. This means she'll be making more money, will
actually get paid for the overtime she works, and will be able to work
reasonable hours.
This is a hege burden off my mind! She has been working hours that have
been having a negative effect on her health, and the work setting has
been getting her depressed for some time. Either of the new jobs ought
to remedy both problems.
So everybody's purrs WORKED!
Now we just need to find me a real job.

I suppose you've considered buying a tractor and going into the
business yourself. My Dear Heart Lynda's brother started out driving
and is now an owner-operator. It's not the life for everybody, but he
makes out OK.

Really glad for you two, Dan. Strange options are going on in the employment
world, from what I hear from my
younger family members. People are doing whatever they can to survive the
present day financial burdens and costs
of health insurance! Son and DIL have worked it out to
where the one who brings in highest income works more hours than the other
one, and the one @ home more cares for their bsby daughter. I am
contributing by
caring for her when their schedules overlap, which is about twice a week,
and stay overnight when they have a social occasion together. All this
eliminates their having to pay for daycare, which if necessary would have
put them in a really bad place financially
If something pressing comes up unplanned, they know they are always free to
leave the baby over here w/me
while they take care of it. I am very happy that the baby
granddaughter show no signs of allergies to my cats! Her
parents *like* cats, they just can't be around them nor their surroundings
for more than a few minutes, and they
have seen that my cats are more leery of the baby than
she is of them...Maluce sniffed @ her once, but they usually ignore her
while she's here, and are much too fast for her to get ahold of.
It really is tough these days, much tougher than when I was their age, to
deal w/the economy and living costs.
