I purchased an area rug off line a few weeks ago and it arrived this
morning. It is a dark hunter green with little tiny pink rosebuds all
over it. As soon as the rug was unpacked a laid in its new home on the
living room floor, Sassy came out to investigate. A few sniffs and
scratches and then the chase was on. I did not to understand that the
pink spots are not rosebuds but bugs that must be properly killed. So
Sassy assumed the position to make the kill, body low to the ground,
ears laid back, eyes wide open, hindparts twitching and then the big
pounce. After killing the first one she looked at me thread dangling
from her mouth and meowed. My daughter says she was asking if it was
okay (my daughter claims to speak cat), I said sure its just a rug.
She is still at it!
So its one down about a million to go. At least the rug was pretty for
a few minutes.

It isn't clear to me: Are these bug/buds [a] 3-dimensional & attached to a
rug or [b] 2-dimensional pictures ON a rug?

Hi Duke,
They are 3- dimensional, well what is left of them anyway.

Okay, thanks. That was what I thought, but then considered how Chaos likes
to kill spots of different color, thought maybe...

Aren't you glad you've got Sassy to protect you? Without her alertness
all those greeblings might have snuck off the rug late at night and gone
prowling the house.

I think her and Harri Roadcat should get together and make a day of it.
It would definatley save me the time of killing them myself. I am
really glad she got them before they got loose in the house.

I think Harri would love to assist with such a worthy endeavor.
