Well, DH has talked about (and talked, and talked, and talked) building
a little kitty thing, like I bought. Kept saying how it's cheaper to
build, it would be better contruction, he'd make it big enough to cover
the window with lots of ramps and steps (blah, blah, blah). He never
built it though. I know he's busy with work, and when he isn't
working, he's busy fixing what is broken on the house, when he isn't
doing that he's really tired,so I never pushed it.
I just asked him this morning, "What is the dollar limit on some kitty
furniture? I'm going to buy something, and if you don't give me a
limit, I'm going to buy something very expensive." He said $100, I
said okay, and went to PetSmart after the TB test. The babies seem to
like it, especially the cradle on top, they can watch the hummingbirds
at the feeder.
Those little hummers will come right up to the window and tease the
cats, it's awfully cute, but the hummer isn't visible in the pictures
I've tried to take. Guess I don't want Denver's snow, the hummers
would freeze. Ah well, maybe next year.

You know what, I'd like to take a page from Bonbon's book and learn how to
do it myself! The deck we have out back would be *perfect* for an outdoor
enclosure, but I know I'll never get DH to build it. The only way it will
get done is to either contract somebody to do it or to learn how to do it
myself!
Hugs,

Thanks! I like this one the best:
http://cats.about.com/gi/dynamic/offsite.htm?site=http%3A%2F%2Fwww.lightheartedp
ress.com%2Fcat_enclosure.htm -
that's how I'd like to fix my deck, it would be about the same size. I
guess I'll have to enroll in carpentry classes!

Maybe it will inspire him to add to it :)

There was a thread a while back about the "Kitty Walk" and some
people bought some of them, and I wanted to, too, because they
sponserd Flippy's cat page, but instead, I bought some unfinished
shelves and hung them as kitty walkways. You could easily buy some
cheap shelves and cover them in old carpet scraps and even hang
them slanted! With the carpet, there is something to grab hold on
and it would make interesting climbing. :)
