I was a beautifull sunny day yesterday. I'm outside puttering in the
garden, starting to get it organized for the season. My Neighbour is raking
some leaves & we start to chat. His children are in the yard, I see them
playing out there all the time, they're about 3 & 5. Chablis strolls up, I
pick her up & give her a pet. My Neighbour (Jeff) says 'Oh, that's her
name.... She's over here playing with my kids all the time. They love her.'
Trust Chablis to have the neighbourhood kids wrapped around her finger...
er....paw allready.

Chablis is very wonderful. Not having grown up with cats, my first
positive contact with a cat was a friendly neighborhood cat. You're
giving to your community. :)

That's very sweet. My cats are terrified of the Shrunken People (children).

Actually Wilson likes the the shrunken people as long as
they dont scream or run after him which grandson Josh
used to do but Josh has quietened down now so Wilson
comes out, and just keeps an eye on him, but he loves the girls.

Reminds me of Fugazi and Isis and a friend's little boy, Adam. Adam
wanted to see the cats who had other ideas about the matter and would
run whenever he came in but as he got older and a bit less loud they
would cautiously approach him until finally when he was old enough
they deigned to allow him to pet them...coming from a family that
doesn't have cats he was fascinated by them and had one big question:
"Are they girl cats or boy cats?"
So I told him they were girl cats....
So he turned to me and very seriously said "How do cats get married?"
"They don't" I told him
Answer: "But if they don't get married how do lady cats have little
cats?"
I just looked at his dad and said "This is more your department"
