Just took this last night - I swear she loves to post, and I thankful for
that since it's the only time anyone besides me and DH gets to see her!  ;>

You know, she doesn't even look *real*.  She looks like someone's idea
of the "perfect white cat" (well, she's awfully close to perfect).

I was thinking the same thing myelf-- she looks like an angelic cat.
Or maybe that very fluffy (literally) "Fancy Feast" cat who looks like
she's made out of white cotton candy. ;)

She is actually very light - I would say a little underweight (although it
could be that I'm so used to picking up Sammy that whenever I pick up
another cat I tend to launch them towards the ceiling, they feel so light in
comparison ;>).  She just has *LONG* hair.  Here is my absolute favorite
picture of her:

Again, her hair is so white it's almost irridescent!

I kind of wish there were blue like they look in this picture (weird
reflection from the flash), but then that would probably mean she would be
deaf since I heard all or most white, blue-eyed cats are.

Not in my experience, and I've had several blue-eyed white cats.

Yep, someone on rpch+b said it was the white cats with one yellow eye and
one blue eye that were deaf.

What a beautiful and elegant winter coat she has!  I always thought of
Demi as having long, lithe body type, but she knows how to show off
her ruff.

Some of those pictures were from the last house we were leasing.  Here are
pictures of my "virtual tour" of my current house that we own (or rather the
bank owns and we're paying on for the next 28 years!  ;>)

Thank you!  It a pretty old house - built in 1974, and it needs a lot of
repairs, but DH and I feel in love with its charm!  [And DH is the on who
does the cooking in our house - I could (and have done) burn water!]

Thank you!

If we ever get back on our feet financially I want to screen in the lower
deck and build platforms and cat trees so I can keep both sets of French
doors in the bedroomopen when the weather is nice - then the cats can get
some fresh air and exercise and warm spring breezes will help air out the
house.

That's one of the main reasons we bought it - the whole house is *very* big.
At first it sounds silly, there just being me and DH and four cats living
there, but when a hurricane was heading for New Orleans last year all our
relatives came here to avoid it.  We had 5 adults, 3 children, 4 dogs, and 5
cats all staying in our house at one time and yet it still didn't seem
crowded in the house!  ;>

I know!  If I were that beautiful I'd be showing myself off to the world,
not hiding under a bed!  ;>

I've actually seen statements on the internet that white cats tend to be
naturally shy (and calicos playful, and tuxedo girls fierce ;>).  I wonder
if that is really true.  Anyone else here with an all white cat?  If so are
they shy?

The white cats I've been owned by weren't particularly shy. Neither is
the absolutely gorgeous white longhair living down the block.

Not my neighbor Socrates.  He's not too swift on the uptake as cats
go, but he's very friendly. ;)

I never know what to think about that stuff about cat colors.  I don't
think it makes sense genetically, anymore than to think all redheads
are tempermental.

I never would have known my little Mimi was a fierce tuxedo girl until
Stinky came.  She was very assertive about what she wanted, and very
insistent, but always very sweet, never fierce at all.  When Stinky
came, she hissed for the first time in her life.  She had never made
that sound before!

I never had a completely white cat, but Krista's Mikey was white, and he
certainly wasn't shy! :oP

Every night, but I really don't have to brush her at all - she doesn't mat!
The brush I use at night is a very soft bristle (baby brush) one, not a
slicker type brush.  It's about as effective at getting hair off as just
petting, but she likes the feel of the brush.

She really is.  She is such a scaredy cat that when you hold her she just
goes limp.  When Bandit (B*tch Cat From H*ll starts wailing on her she just
rolls over on her back and tucks her ears down, poor baby.  The only thing
we have to worry about when we take her to the vet is her weeing on herself!

Demi is one drop-dead GEORGOUS white kitty!

I had a white cat named Blizzard(RB) but she was short haired.

If you ever find Demi missing......well, I'd never do anything like
that, but I am awfully envious of you and you pretty Demi!

She has such a sweet look on her face, just like Blizzard used to have.

Well, first you'd have to catch her!  ;>  When it's time to take her to the
vet I have to, *very* nonchallantly, act like I'm just going to walk past
her and the quickly turn around and scoop her up.  If she knows you want to
pick her up she heads straight underneath the king-sized bed (that has about
a six inch clearance off the floor) and gets exactly in the middle so
there's no *way* you can reach her to pull her out.  Whenever we have
company, the poor little thing practically lives under there with the dust
bunnies!  ;>
