The cabinet used to hold a lot of little knick-knacks, but I put them
away (the lower half of the cabinet has glass doors and a LOCK). I'm
hoping the clock is too heavy for Mere to push down (hope she doesn't
develop Mimi's method of using her head).

Mere is lovely but so is the clock. Do you have what we in California call
Earthquake Putty Available. It's stuff you use to stick valuable to shelves
so they don't shake off. I think museum wax may be the other name for it.

Thanks, Jo, I'll keep an eye out for that. We don't really have
earthquakes here, but maybe there's something similar available anyway.
I think my sister solved this problem with bluetack. ;o)

I use bluetack as well Marina, solves quite a lot of problems
but the earthquake stuff sounds excellent. Jean.P.

Mere is as pretty as any knick-knacks you could possibly have! She's knows
she's adorable, Marina. I'm so glad you adopted her. (Be careful; she
seems bright enough to pick that lock!)

Mere is a VERY sweet kitty, and very, very pretty, as well. She must
have some Oriental in her, with the shape of her face. She's
irresistible!

Mere is a Russian Blue. If one looks at ancient history, yes, it makes
sense the Oriental.

I thought Sir Weeble Bottom held that honor, I loved wathcing him grow
up and collected a bunch of his photos. Favorites series probably
flying after his feather toy, and favorite single pic probably half
asleep in front of the flag pillow. Then there's also lots of F&N pix
amoung my favorites, maybe because my two girls also wear tux's

Mere is photogenic. This is a great picture. Is the clock antique?

I suppose it would be classed as antique. I think my great-grandmother
brought it from England in the late 1800s.

Unfortunately for some of us, anything over 25 years old is considered
"antique" ;)

What a little darling! I swear she makes those poses on purpose,
hoping Mommy will photograph her again!
