Coffee and tea and the java and meeee...
A cup, a cup a cup, a cup, booooooy...

Okay, enough of the choir flashbacks.

I got brave and, on a whim (partially encouraged by a choir mate who was
advertising for the job at my college), I have applied for a job at a
local coffee shop. The interview was earlier today. I *think* things went
relatively well, but then again, I've thought so before and gotten the
polite "we filled all the positions we've been hiring for" several weeks
later, so... well, I'm stressing. And I could really use the money. And I
know I could kick butt and love it as a coffee slinger if I only have a
chance to. If.
And my "but you're not good enough" anxiety is kicking in.
And I'm in "we'll get back to you" limbo until monday.
And I could really use some of that wonderful Zen tea that I had before
the interview.
And a few purrs for my stress levels, maybe?

I have seen the truth and it makes no
sense.

I think the machines do that for them :)

Reminds me of a re-run episode of ER where med-student/intern Neela had quit
the hospital and is wandering around a Mall trying to find work.  The
manager at the coffee shop basically told her she wasn't qualified.  She
finally found herself in an employment agency and the woman was going down a
list of things, asking if she had experience in any of the fields.
Exasperated, the woman finally said, how about we start with what you CAN
do?  Neela replied, "Well, I can crack open your chest, reinflate your lung
and pump your heart by hand."
